












The 12th Annual Ferndale Emergency Vehicle Show will be held on
Friday, August 17, 2012, in downtown Ferndale, on East Nine Mile Road from
1:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A featured Dream Cruise event of the Ferndale Woodward
Dream Cruise that not only includes classic cruising cars, but the police
cars that were used to chase them.
The Ferndale Emergency Vehicle Show is the cornerstone of Ferndale's events and will
be providing fun for both kids and the adults alike. The family event will include DJ sounds,
live entertainment and a kid's play zone with rock climbing and bungee jumping!
The12th Ferndale Emergency Vehicle Show will exhibit a collection of antiques, customs
and everyday cruisers provided by passionate individual owners and surrounding local, county and state
departments within the southeastern Michigan and abroad.
Nearly one-hundred emergency vehicles, including vintage police cars, participate in the show, said Anthony
Rzucidlo, who coordinates the event. "We'll have police cars, ambulances and fire trucks from the 1930s
through the present...with emergency vehicle owners from as far away as Toronto and Pennsylvania coming to
the show."
The "Light & Siren Cruise", an exciting audience pleasure, will take place immediately following the Official
Woodward Dream Cruise Ribbon Cutting Ceremony, at 5:30 PM. Starting on East Nine Mile, to parade will
cruise north on Woodward Avenue to 11 Mile Road and back, and will be escorted by Ferndale's finest.
